THE CENTER FOR
PUBLIC FEMINISIM
We are a collective of justice-oriented feminist studies scholars who have come together to create the center for public feminism.
MARGINALIZED GROUPS ARE UNDER ATTACK
The so-called culture wars have taken aim at women, queer people, trans people, migrants, people with disabilities, poor people, and people of color. The threats are real and have tangible effects from the fall of Roe v. Wade to the limiting of trans healthcare to the systemic disenfranchisement of people of color.
COLLABORATION
Our Center is meant to foster opportunities for collaboration among scholars, activists, artists, and policy makers working on feminist issues. Central to our mission is the belief that scholarship and activism are best when they are informed by each other, and, further, that feminism is meant to be public.

The Center is a space wherein scholars can develop skills for translating their knowledge into public-facing formats and where activists can engage with academic knowledge on topics they work on.
